Mastering Multimedia (Grades: 6-9)

Transform the elements of multimedia into your own unique movies and presentations using MovieMaker, PowerPoint, and a wide variety of online Web 2.0 Internet services, such as Wikis, Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, and Ebooks. Discover how to use popular sites like YouTube, Animoto, GoAnimate and learn about podcasting. Explore the differences in video, audio, and image formats, and how to render, convert and resize your multimedia files. Experiment with photography, camera settings, and filmmaking techniques and then put it all together in your own exciting multimedia presentation! This class is geared for students with some computer experience. Having email would be helpful so students can join certain site services and send their projects home as attachments.
