Summer 2009Basic Photography (Grades: 5-8)Express your unique view of the world through the lens of your camera! As an aspiring artist learn the basics of black and white photography. Learn tips and tricks from a professional photographer and sharpen your skills at using your 35mm camera, developing and exposing film and printing your own photographs. Choose to experiment with portraits, still-lifes, nature or the human condition to create your own portfolio and communicate your personal vision. Be inspired by the work of master photographers to help you develop your own individual style. Much of what you learn can translate and be used in digital photography. Some class time is devoted to "Digi Time", when we explore digital imagery. Please bring a 35mm manual adjustment camera to class. Prerequisite(s): (Grades 5-8)
