Introduction to Wine Blogging


A panel of wine bloggers from diverse backgrounds will discuss how they have incorporated blogging into their business models and day-to-day business operations. The panel will cover a wide variety of topics that they feel are important to consider when blogging in the wine industry. The discussion will include a review of the strategic and resource requirements of starting a blog, highlight the important parts of maintaining and managing a blog, and conclude by covering ethical considerations and the future of blogging in the wine industry.

Prerequisite(s):

BUS800; 4 hours CEU; $150

Instructor: David Horowitz (Wine)

Dr. David Horowitz teaches undergraduate marketing courses in the Business Department at SSU, where he is also the Faculty Advisor to the Sonoma State Wine Club, and has taught the wine business classes, Introduction to Wine Blogging and The Global Wine Industry. He is interested in wine industry internet communications and blog content realted to teaching marketing classes in the wine counrty @dmhoro. He is currently conducting research on cult wine and looks forward to doing more wine business research in the future. He also serves on the board of directors for the Wine Library Associates of Sonoma County, is a member of the The Academy of Wine Communications, and the Santa Rosa Active 20-30 Club.
