Summer 2009

3-D Animation and Modeling: Robot Wars (Grades: 6-9)

Two giant robots duke it out in a downtown metropolis sometime in the future. Using Autodesk 3ds Max Biped system model an urban space city complete with two dueling robots. Learn to employ the same professional software used to build the characters, weapons and vehicles in 3D Videogames like Grand Theft Auto and GuitarHero. Design virtual characters and create materials to make your futuristic buildings convincingly real. Animate a battle between the robots and generate lighting and other special effects. When finished, create a rendered movie of your work to take home. Explosions included. Resistance is futile. Beginners are welcome and students who took the course last year are encouraged to repeat it and advance.
