Summer 2009
Transforming Your World With Photoshop (Grades: 4-6)
Explore the world of photography, art, and image editing with Adobe's Photoshop software. Transform yourself and your surroundings into striking works of multimedia art as you master and refine a range of new photography and computer skills. Use digital cameras to capture photos; design drawings with color pens and pastels; employ a scanner to import drawings and pictures; and gather images from the Web. Then, discover Photoshop's layers, tools, and artistic filters to combine and tweak your images into altered landscapes, provocative portraits and curious collages. The possibilities are limitless and the results, unique and extraordinary. Bring old photographs or pictures to scan if you like and a digital camera if you have one (though not required).
