Monster Quest (Grades: 4-6)

Brace yourself, gather your courage and set off on a modern day adventure to the magical lands where mythical creatures roam. Come face-to-face with centaurs, griffins, mermaids, minotaur, cyrptids, gods, goddesses and other strange and astonishing creatures. Spend a day at Camp Half-Blood with Percy Jackson and his friends. Learn how to care for magical creatures and answer such questions as: Can you train a dragon, cheat a dragon's curse or solve the daily riddle of the sphinx? Design your own monster, create a fantastical creature field guide and make labyrinths. We conduct our own "Monster Quest" on the SSU campus and track the Redwood Sasquatch and Sonoma Ness Monster as we press forward with our adventures into this parallel world.
