Summer 2009Monster Quest (Grades: 4-6)Travel the globe and uncover the magical, mythical places where Monsters, Dragons, Gryphons and Minotaurs roam. Using the Fantasy World Map, go where heroes dwell and legends are born. We trek across land, dive under the sea and fly through air as we discover the beasts of the earth (the Basilisk and Unicorn), winged wonders (Pegasus, Phoenix and Griffin) and creatures of the deep (Giant Squid, Mermaids and Kraken). Encounter the hideous and dangerous and greet weird and astonishing imaginary creatures. Design your own monster, create a creature field guide and make labyrinths. We conduct our own "Monster Quest" on the SSU campus and track the Redwood Sasquatch and Sonoma Ness Monster as we press forward with our adventures into this legendary world. Prerequisite(s):
