    Instructor: Steve Messinger

    Steve Messinger has been active in the California wine export trade for over 20 years. Starting in the 1980's Steve led Chateau St. Jean's export into Europe and Canada at a time when very few California wineries were selling outside the U.S. In the 1990's Steve spearheaded Simi's efforts into Asia and later helped Jackson Wine Estates' expand their international presence. In 2006, Mr. Messinger founded the Vinum Exports, a consulting and brokerage company, helping wineries create, manage, and expand their export business.Steve brings a unique perspective to the role exports can play in a winery's business plan. A certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, Steve is a member of the Sonoma County Vintners Board of Directors and Chairman of their International Committee.
