Internship in Financial Management


Field experience, for upper-division students, in management and administration with an emphasis in financial management. All internships that may be used in a concentration shall be either 3 or 4 units. No internship may be counted in more than one concentration. No more than two internships may be used for credit in the B.S. in Business Administration program and only one in any single concentration. GPA of 2.0 is required in the major plus two courses in the field of concentration. Cr/NC only. The internship requires a minimum of three hours per week per semester unit.

Prerequisite(s):Prior arrangement with internship coordinator, Permit to Register (brown card) required.

Instructor: Duane Dove

Duane Dove, Ph.D., Senior Professional in Human Resources, has broad training in human resources as an organizational psychologist. His work at General Electric, Ford Motor, Westinghouse and other smaller organizations has given him considerable experience in human resources issues within businesses and government agencies. He also has experience as a manager in a union setting. He currently serves as union steward for the California Faculty Association. His special interests relate to equal employment opportunity, labor relations management and strategic human resource management.
