iMovie (Grades: 6-9)

Film your movie like a pro! iMovie makes video editing fun, as you learn to use the editing functions: drag and drop, copy, cut and paste. iMovie lets you add titles, special effects, transitions, sound effects and music. Students learn the basics of properly using a digital camcorder and the art of good filming by creating a short movie. The class forms small movie production crews who collaborate to design a movie reflecting a specific theme or idea they wish to communicate. Cooperatively, we record images, download the film footage into the computer, and use iMovie editing software to make a short film complete with images, sound, narration, and action!
