FNP Preceptorship I

Clinical preceptorship, 6 hours. Beginning clinical practice in primary care settings is implemented. Specialized knowledge and skills are utilized to assess physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs of patients. Concepts from various disciplines are integrated to provide a framework for developing and applying strategies for health promotion and illness management. Begins to develop advanced nursing role identity as FNP.

Prerequisite(s):Prerequisites: concurrent enrollment in NURS 549; previous or concurrent enrollment in NURS 501, 540A and 552. Laboratory fee payable at time of registration.
