Wine Business Institute Professional Development Seminars
Half-day seminars. Whether you are currently an industry professional, exploring a new business idea, or transitioning to a career in the wine industry, our professional development courses can
familiarize you with new ideas, pragmatic concepts for wine businesses and practical ways to be more effective. These seminars are offered each semester and are open to the public. They may be taken individually or as part of the Tasting Room Management Certificate Program.
New Certificate Program In Tasting Room Management!
We are proud to announce that the Wine Business Program is now offering a Tasting Room Management Certificate through its professional development program. The certificate
helps prepare tasting room staff to step up to more responsibility by taking courses in direct shipping, staffing, marketing, wine club management, data base management, sales, budgeting, and customer
relationship management. We encourage you to visit our web-site for more information on Wine Business programs.
This certificate requires the completion of 8 half day courses. The program can be completed in one semester, or at your own pace. It costs $1200 ($150 per half-day seminar).
Students must complete these 3 core courses:
- Introduction to Tasting Room Management
- State Compliance for Direct Shipping: A Hands-On Overview
- Building a Profitable Wine Club
Electives: You may choose any five electives offered in the semester. Refer to the classes below.
In addition to the above courses, we highly recommend completion of the Alcohol Beverage Control courses:
- Responsible Beverage Service and Licensee
- Education on Alcohol and Drugs
