Construction Management Certificate Program


Offered Fall and Spring semesters

This Certificate Program is designed to provide trained managers and supervisors for the construction industry. If you are a contractor, subcontractor or involved in project management, either in the office or in the field, this Certificate Program is designed for you. Sharpening your business skills can improve the cost effectiveness of your operation, increase your ability to adapt to fluctuations in the economy and motivate others to implement new management techniques.

  • Construction Marketing and Sales
  • Computerized Construction Accounting
  • Computerized Project Scheduling

To qualify for a Certificate of Completion, students must successfully complete 240 hours of classtime. Upon completion of course requirements, students may call Extended Education to request their "Application for Award of Certificate."

The courses are offered on a credit/no credit basis for Continuing Education Units (CEU). The CEU is a nationally recognized measurement of professional development coursework. The coursework includes required texts, work outside class and testing at the discretion of the instructors. Program faculty are selected for their experience in the construction industry and for their outstanding teaching ability.

Scholarships: Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the Redwood Empire Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) have established scholarships for students in the certificate program. For applications, please contact:
